PROLOGUE
Being alive for the last 25years… my life actually wasn’t that bad after all. I’m happy the way I lived my life so far. I used to have this sentiment of ‘life can be so unfair’. Well yeah, shit happens right????(Picture taken; Museum of Anthropology, UBC)
I can be considered a dumb-opportunist in terms of grabbing everything and anything in front of my eyes without considering cause and effect. Nevertheless, I never regretted all the things I have done, but always learned from the mistakes.
Like for instance, I decided not pursue and practice my major in Estate Management but instead grabbing the job offered by PETROSAINS as Research Coordinator under Uzaymee’s supervision. What the hell a business-oriented person doing in Science Centre and Museum’s sector?
I fell in love with museums, science centres, galleries, exhibitions and etc. when my mom brought me for the first time to the old National Science Centre (now the building occupied by Persatuan Pencinta Alam) somewhere in 1988. From that, I have been visiting from museum even to small-scaled exhibition (i.e. Anatomy Museum, UKM). Although, that time I can be considered as a fan, not the player.
Then it was 1999, thanks to Puteri Nadia, daughter of my parent’s best buddies, I started volunteering with PETROSAINS and from then, my free time usually occupied by being in the science centre. I left the company as Special Project’s Assistant in July 2005.
So from August 2005, I have been living in Vancouver, Canada for my personal self-development and discoveries. Currently I am doing my personal research on almost everything that I can think of. If I have that will to turn all my notes formally, it seems I have written few theses.
Now, I choose to be with Vancouver Aquarium as my self-development platform. Aside from that, I have few other afflictions locally, internationally and some back at home.
